Joel has owned the firm since August of 1994.  He has been in public practice since July of 1990, and worked for a public utility company after graduation from Hawkeye Institute of Technology.  Joel earned an AAS in Accounting from Hawkeye Institute of Technology in 1985, and completed his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in August of 1989 from Mt. Mercy College.

Since that time, Joel has become licensed in Iowa as a Licensed Public Accountant (LPA) and has earned his Enrolled Agent (EA) credentials from the Internal Revenue Service. 

Joel is past President of the Accountants Association of Iowa and a member of the National Society of Accountants where he also serves as the state director for Iowa.
